dc.description.abstract Study has been centred on an area of some 30 square miles of the Wellington Peninsula lying south of Lat. 41°18' S and bounded to the south by the shores of Cook Strait (see map). This is broadly the area covered by the Waiariki and Sinclair sheets of the Lands & Survey Department's 1/25,000 map series (N.164/4 and 5). The various problems encountered have necessitated consideration of features in adjoining areas of the Peninsula. en_NZ
