dc.description.abstract The following report investigates how design might delight through the non-visual senses. It aims to identify a set of qualities that ought to be considered by designers if they are serious about wanting to design for delight for visually impaired people, or indeed any group of people. The main body of the work is literary research. The conclusions from this research are then examined by a small field survey, and overall conclusions are then drawn. The report is intended to raise issues rather than to definitively provide solutions. Further research might define further the issues pertaining to non-visual architectural delight. The report concludes with a brief examination of how this work might be developed and continued. en_NZ
