dc.description.abstract |
Reactions involving the addition of halogens to ethylene compounds have been investigated over a number of years and much literature has accumulated, but there has been little correlation between the various aspects of the work. Such reactions are influenced by a variety of factors, under which the different branches of the investigations may conveniently be considered. These include:-
1. Influence of the halogen.
2. Environment of the double bond.
3. Influence of solvent.
4. Kinetics of the reactions.
5. Influence of radiation.
6. Effect of water. |
