dc.description.abstract	Eighteen species of larval teleosts, excluding the flatfishes, families Bothidae and Pleuronectidae, from the plankton of Wellington Harbour are identified and described. Their relationship to the known resident teleost fauna and their seasonal distribution are discussed. Occurrence of larvae is related in tabular form to surface water temperature recordings. Surface water temperatures recorded during the course of the study are compared with accounts by other authors.	en_NZ
