dc.description.abstract 'Conflict and Architecture' refers to the way people conflict with their built environments. To study this topic the nature of the relationship between people and their physical surroundings is discussed from various perspectives. In order to determine how conflict arises its nature is discussed. Potential sources of conflict are identified as arising from the relationship between behaviour and the environment. Aspects of architectural practice which are responsible for this conflict are identified and methods for resolving these disputes suggested. Finally, three case studies are used to illustrate salient points contained in the report. en_NZ
