dc.description.abstract |
This report provides an introduction to pumice concrete technology. It is aimed at those who have some knowledge of concrete technology and an interest in the subject, but little knowledge of pumice concrete production.
Manufacturers can provide information on pumice masonry units, so this area is omitted from the report.
The report researches the product and construction techniques already developed through two examples of buildings and gives an outline of the location and cost of the material.
A review of the technical aspects and properties is given in section 4.
The final part of the report gives a practical description of the working characteristics of pumice concrete through the construction of a small structure. |
