dc.description.abstract Because of the nature of Wellington's topography new subdivisions are becoming increasingly difficult to develop due to shortage of good sites, so the remaining land should be developed more effectively. The courtyard house has the advantage of having the outside area within the building and can perform well at a higher housing density than standard housing. en_NZ
