This project trials a Cultural Studies circuit of culture model as a tool for critically examining the phenomenon of sportfashion. Each of five main cultural processes identified by du Gay et al (1997) is taken as a perspective from which to discuss sport and fashion. This approach develops an overview of sportfashion as a cultural artefact that is a contingent outcome of these cultural processes. |
