dc.description.abstract Improved methods of separating a high flux of scattered deuterons from He3 particles produced by the D(d,n)He3 reaction is discussed. Unlike foil absorbers, a field of force does not reduce the energy of the recoil particle, ensures full resolution of its spectrum and is reliable. The improved signal to noise ratio increases detection efficiency and ensures fast n-He3 coincidence experiments. en_NZ
