dc.description.abstract |
It is one aim of this thesis to report on some aspects of life in a modern Maori community in such a way, and using such concepts, that some understanding may be reached of how this community will react to rapid industrial development. It is a second aim to explore the relationship between the data variously summed up by the concepts of personality and culture. A final aim is to use both descriptive and theoretical materials to essay some modest illumination of the nature of social change, in Rakau, and in general. |
