dc.description.abstract In this thesis possible causes of irregular operations in airline industry is discussed with some recovery procedures and models. Also a particular case of a schedule perturbation problem, Ground Delay Program, is discussed for the case where aircraft and crew are scheduled to work as a single unit. Some computer programs has been used to illustrate some models. In the first half of the thesis some network optimization techniques which can be used in the recovery procedures of irregular operation is illustrated. en_NZ
