The report is a casebook of aspects of Wellington's urban quality illustrated through the use of annotated sketches. It discusses the importance of the relationship between buildings for creating a sense of place within cities, and how this relationship can contribute to a stimulating urban environment. It concludes with a call to design our cities as townscape and a reappraisal of town planning regulations to facilitate this process. |
