dc.description.abstract This Research Report investigates the co-ordination conflicts that occur in the building process, the aim being to ascertain a correllation between: (i) the conflicts of specific building services (ii) the time during the contract the conflict occurs and the building service that generates the conflict. This report achieves this by investigating the actual co-ordination problems that have occurred in the building delivery process of 5 building contracts in the Wellington region. The report looks at the underlying causes of these conflicts by analyses, of the time related events and the building services that conflict. It is concluded on the basis of this report that the co-ordination of building services over all sectors of the design and construction process is handled inadequately at technical, managerial and site operation levels. en_NZ
