dc.description.abstract This report aims to show how much architectural input goes into average budget housing. The first fact that needed to be established was what is average budget housing? By looking at the New Zealand Building Economist magazine and multiplying the average cost per square metre of domestic construction, with an average size house of 94 square metres, a figure of $70,000 was obtained. The second fact was what is meant by architectural input? Architectural input con be viewed from three different levels. The first level is the input that could come from browsing through magazines and books (as a prospective homeowner) and getting ideas or being influenced by what you see. en_NZ
