dc.description.abstract The purpose of this thesis is to show the development of the Imperial Conferences in relation to New Zealand from their inauguration in 1887 until the Conference of last year, 1930. I have used the Wellington Newspapers relating to this period because in them are voiced the general feeling of the public of New Zealand towards the Conferences and the work which they have accomplished. en_NZ
