dc.description.abstract | Nickel (II) and copper (II) complexes of the tetramine 1,2Bis (3'-aminopropyl amino) ethane have been studied. Condensation with acetone and with isobutyraldehyde of these complexes to form macro-cycles were unsuccessful. Nickel (II) and copper (II) complexes of the macrocycle 5,7,7,12,14,14-Hexamethyl-1,4,8,11-tetra-aza-cyclotetra deca-4-ene were also studied as were nickel (II), copper (II) and cobalt (III) complexes of the tetramine, 4,6,6-Trimethyl-1,9-diamino-3,7 diazanonane,obtained by hydrolysis of the imine band in the macrocycle. Infrared and electronic spectra are reported where applicable. | en_NZ |
